Broken Glass (2023)
Broken Glass (2023) Broken Glass is a social history documentary film on the workers and craftsmen that helped to make one of the most successful brands in the world. At its height Waterford Glass employed 3,500 people in their plants in Waterford and Dungarvan and generations of local people worked there over its 50 years of production. This film pays tribute to the workers and gives small insights into the various stages of its development. Made by Ollie Breslin and Waterford Youth Arts, Camera and Sound : Keith Currams, Editor : Dave Whelan. Funded through support from Creative Ireland Waterford and with additional help from UNITE Community fund. Some footage in this film was taken from earlier social history films by WYA Down the Town (2015) We’re All Saints Out Here (2016) Grattan Square, Dungarvan (2017) and they can be found here www.wyafilm.com/social-history
